Gentle traditional or dynamic yoga to help you live your best life
Seahaven Yoga has been running gentle traditional or dynamic yoga classes in Seaford and surrounding areas for several years. The regular practice of Yoga has many benefits. Whether in a class, small group or one-to-one, we take a holistic approach to your individual bio-psychosocial needs to enable you to age well.
Vajrasati yoga combines the postures, breathing and meditation techniques of classical/modern postural yoga along with innovative explorations outside traditional postures from a conscious subtle and energetic alignment perspective.
Gentle traditional yoga suitable for all levels, focusing on using the breath to deepen and extend the body, mind and spirit or soul. Working meditatively, listening to our bodies and breath, using our inner resources to develop postures only as the body allows. This style of yoga is suitable for everyone whatever their age or previous experience, including complete beginners.
Chair yoga incorporates similar yoga asanas or postures and guided meditation as the ‘Over 50s’ class, but will be adapted to be seated or to use the chair to help with balance depending on the individual capabilities and needs of the group members.
Chakra and aura healing are both forms of energy healing that can be used when someone is feeling ill or stressed, or simply to ensure well-being.
Our one-to-one sessions are ‘bespoke’ to the individual’s bio-psychosocial needs and will utilise their unique motivational tools following a free consultation.
Our small group sessions can be based on any of our classes following a free consultation.
We can also provide gentle chair-based exercises for those less able, whether this be in your own home, sheltered or supported housing accommodation, residential or nursing home, alongside dementia care support.
Rosie and Christine are both exceptionally motivated to the health and wellbeing of all our clients. Our philosophy is to maintain and improve your strength and balance, whilst energizing and relaxing the body through yoga movements/postures and breathwork. Whether in a class, small group or one-to-one we like to take the holistic approach to your individual bio-psychosocial needs to enable you to age well.
Rosie graduated from the Vajrasati teacher training course and holds a 500hr Yoga Alliance accredited teaching qualification, and is now a senior Teacher with the school. Rosie also completed further training with Fiona Agombar, to teach students with ME and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, elements of which she uses with students who have other limitations to their practice.
For seven years, Chris attended Rosie’s Vjrasati classes and recognised the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga. Two years ago, Chris undertook a yoga teacher trainer diploma qualification. This then led her to embrace the energy centers of the body and she undertook a diploma qualification as a Chakra and Aura Healer.
